Floodlight has some exciting new additions to the team for 2019. Director Marko is our new Estonian import and has joined us to help bolster our creative department while Jodie has come from a rich background in freelance production and casting to work as a producer for some exciting upcoming projects!
Marko has a Bachelor of Arts in Film from Middlesex University in London specialising in direction. During his time in England, Marko worked on various film and media projects for VEVO, HSBC, Hexagon classics, Fiskens etc. He worked as a film and post-production specialist at Ernst & Young, London managing a busy green-screen studio and leading film and video projects through all stages of production, often travelling internationally across Europe.
Marko also worked as a Director at VAAS video production agency in Tallinn, Estonia. He directed a selection of their award-winning projects (GOLD award at the Estonian Design Awards 2017 and several GOLD awards at the Kuldmuna 2018 Estonian Advertising Awards). A selection of his work was screened at the United Nations in April 2018 and on the New York Times in September. Marko has also worked with a selection of the Estonia’s biggest A-list celebrities as well as the president herself.
Marko is a writer-director who can also do a mean job producing, camera operating and editing. He has worked on a selection of exciting new projects at Floodlight such as adverts, live streaming, corporate videos and training videos. His brand new showreel can be seen below!
Jodie has a Bachelor of Media Arts from the University of South Australia, majoring in Film and Television Production and sub-majoring in Animation; and a Graduate Certificate in Film & Television producing. She has worked as a Casting Coordinator at Heesom Casting at the Adelaide Studios casting projects such as Wolf Creek the Series, Rabbit and Storm Boy; as well as working as a Producer’s Assistant at KOJO Entertainment under the SAFC’s Seed New Talent Grant.
In 2018 Jodie received the South Australian Screen Award for “Emerging Producer”, she was also the recipient of the SAFC’s Career Accelerator Grant aimed at emerging female producers, and traveled to Hollywood to work during the American Film Market in November 2017. She also continues to work as a Producer in her freelance production Company “Get Back Jojo Productions” with many of her films receiving funding, festival screening and awards.
Jodie has been leading productions since joining in with Floodlight, managing a number of large scale projects.
